The 550 Maranello succeeded the stunning Ferrari Daytona (365GTB4) as the new front engine V12 Ferrari. During the years between the Daytona and the 550 Ferrari produced rear engine flat 12 Ferrari’s – the 365BB, 512BB, Testarossa and 512TR. Initially launched in 1996 the Ferrari 550 led the GT category but the gap was quickly closed by manufacturers like Aston Martin and Lamborghini with 200mph superca.....
The 550 Maranello succeeded the stunning Ferrari Daytona (365GTB4) as the new front engine V12 Ferrari. During the years between the Daytona and the 550 Ferrari produced rear engine flat 12 Ferrari’s – the 365BB, 512BB, Testarossa and 512TR. Initially launched in 1996 the Ferrari 550 led the GT category but the gap was quickly closed by manufacturers like Aston Martin and Lamborghini with 200mph supercars. In 2002 Ferrari released the revamped 575M (for modificato) Maranello to succeed the 550. The sharper, faster and lighter GT (grand tourer) 575M features an advanced electronic adaptive damper control system that instantly configures itself according to road conditions combined with weight reduction to 1730kg, improved brakes with bigger Brembo cross-drilled and ventilated discs. Options included the lightning fast F1 “paddle shift” transmission or a 6 speed manual. The 575M is the last of the 6 speed manual, front engine, 2 seat, Ferrari V12. Redesigned lightweight wheels improved brake cooling along with supplementary ducts at each corner of the front bumper. The 550's shape had been subtly tweaked with extensive reworking of the cabin including new dash, instrument binnacle, door panels and seats.
Ferrari 575M have an impressive 203mph top speed, making them Ferrari's first front-engine production cars capable of exceeding 200mph. Acceleration takes just 4.25 seconds to 60mph.
This 2004 Ferrari 575M Maranello in Rossa Corsa (Red) with Crema leather and a 6 speed manual transmission is one of a limited number (69 manuals) that were delivered to the UK. It is equipped with the optional and essential Fiorano suspension pack that has 15mm lower and stiffer springs, software changes to the ECUs controlling the dampers and steering, red brake callipers as standard and harder brake pads. It is fitted with enamel Scuderia wing shields and is in stunning order.

Ferrari 355GTB
The Ferrari 355 Berlinetta (GTB) was introduced in 1994, with design by Pininfarina, as a successor to the 348. Ferrari had developed a range of mid-engine V8 cars that delivered an affordable alternative to those who didn’t want a V12. Starting with the 308 these cars have been an outstanding success for Ferrari culminating with the 458 today. Whereas the 348 was not the pinnacle of Ferrari design and build .....
The Ferrari 355 Berlinetta (GTB) was introduced in 1994, with design by Pininfarina, as a successor to the 348. Ferrari had developed a range of mid-engine V8 cars that delivered an affordable alternative to those who didn’t want a V12. Starting with the 308 these cars have been an outstanding success for Ferrari culminating with the 458 today. Whereas the 348 was not the pinnacle of Ferrari design and build the 355 was an outstanding success with a series of F355 models. Initially, the 6-speed manual was the only transmission available. In 1997, the Berlinetta was the first ever road car to be equipped with the innovative F1-style gearbox management system. Derived directly from Formula 1, where it made its debut in 1989 winning the Brazilian Grand Prix, the electro-hydraulic system was operated by paddles behind the steering wheel using the F355's conventional 6-speed manual gearbox. The new transmission guaranteed lightning-quick gear changes, with the additional advantage that both the driver's hands could stay on the wheel at all times.
Ferrari produced 4,871 road-going 355 models during the entire production before replacing it with the 360 in 1999.
This F355 GTB is a 1995 in Rossa Corsa with Crema leather and a 6 speed manual transmission. This is the “pre airbag” model characterised by a slimmer steering wheel. It has a Tubi exhaust system that delivers improved exhaust gas flow and enhances the V8 “crackle”.
